Ensure healthy eating and drinking

1. Cut down on sugary treat and swap for fruit and vegetables

 

2. Cut down on fruit juices and swap for water or milk

 

3. Only have drinks and food containing sugar at mealtimes

 

Encourage thorough tooth brushing

4. Brush at least twice a day

 

5. A pea size amount of toothpaste is recommended for children

 

6. Supervise your child's brushing until they are seven years old

 

7. Spit after brushing instead of rinsing

 

Visit your local dentist regularly
